Lisa has joined the technology!
posted by LisaDarlene at 10:17 pm

I made my first brush with high tech technology today….I decided to get rid of my beloved pink Fido phone (parting ways with it was sooooooo hard though the guy who worked there was HIGHLY amused that I had a pink phone in my ownership). I asked for alot of information and got TONS of it…I am always skeptical if the sales people are just out to make sales and will say anything you want them to…but this guy was very honest, friendly and helpful. He let me pick everything I wanted and gave his opinions when I asked. In the end I decided to venture for a camera phone because with a 3 year plan it would come FREE and it is a 500 dollar value! I DO love taking pictures and am looking forward to working with it..the phone has THE coolest features…voice recording, games..blah blah…and here I was NEVER wanting to get hooked on a cellphone but I let my gut take over and just went with it.

All was not lost with my pink phone..the salesguy was nice enough to give me a free pink foam phone holder..haha and a 30 buck value too! Not bad!! Now I just have to remember my new cell phone number..took me a while to get used to the old one…oh well at least my first brush with technology has been a good one!!!

Ci2-Group 3
posted by LisaDarlene at 10:06 pm

So far I am loving the Canadian Idol series even though we are only on group 3…tonights episode had about 6 out of 8 singers who were VERY VERY good…rarely do I find 6 singers that I like off the bat, but tonight was a big sign that this year is gonna be a good one! I LOVED the first singer…the big guy-Constant is his name..what an awesome name and WOW can he ever sing! Right away I was excited for the rest of the show and it left me highly impressed. This year the singers are WAY better…I almost wanted to vote but didn’t feel like sitting there for 2 hours when my 100 votes might not help anyone regardless. Can’t wait for the results!!!

My first post here!
posted by LisaDarlene at 11:51 pm

So this is the first time I have ever ventured into something like this. I have never been the most internet savvy kind of gal…I remember the day when I couldn’t even figure out what LOL meant as well as all that fancy cyber talk! Now here I am…actually I can’t say that I got here alone because up until a few days ago I had NO idea what a blog was…the man in my life named Russ told me about it and it sounded interesting..and voila-he set it up for me!

This first post is dedicated to him and to his patience for always listening to the millions of questions that I have…he has opened many new doors for me and has provided me an outlet to express my feelings for which I know I will be eternally grateful. I was always a writer at heart..as a kid I would write books, novels, letters, journals…anything….as I got older I lost a bit of that but have gone back to writing in pen-now I can type everything and everyone who knows me knows that I can type practically a million words a minute!!

Anyways, thank you Russ for getting me to this point and giving me an awesome project to keep me busy over the coming months…I love my home page and am happy that your lilies have made it on the front of it ;) I am sure your name will pop up around this blog many times and a million thank yous will be beside it!!
