I just LOVE when I come home and get to find out from one of my parents who gets eliminated on American Idol. It beats having to wait until the regular time to find out! I was not surprised at all with Kellie leaving-apparently the news is trying to make it seem like it was the “Shocker of the season”! Maybe they mean it as, “We were SO damn shocked she didn’t go tonight because she hasn’t been good any OTHER week and has managed to stay-when she finally hit rock bottom, she actually got kicked out! Yesterday I had two really nice random acts of kindness. The first one was in an email. Our well known blogger, Michelle sent me an email of a job posting she got that might apply to me. I sent a message back to the lady and she sent me a full length document of what the job outlines. It is actually for the position of Office Manager for a Music Therapy Office. I didn’t even KNOW we had a Music Therapy place here in the city!! The job sounds really good-great hours, 9:00am-3:00 am Mon-Thurs and Fri 9:00 am-1:00 with negotiable hours! Money is pretty good as well too-the job position itself is pretty big though. Very jam packed with bookings, and such but still something that could be learned. I asked if they are interested in some non-permanent help, but the lady said she would have to consider someone staying for the entire year at least. (more…)
On a few things that are surfacing. I talked to my Mom and Dad individually to find out if they saw the mouse that was on the table-you know, the one that got its neck literally strangled in the netting and was near death? Neither of them had even seen the mouse on the table-my Dad didn’t even look in the garage, and when my mom went (the night of when it happened) there was only the cloth. (more…)
Could that be classified as a random act of kindness? Sure, cause I could have ignored the mouse and left it to hang there.
I was cleaning out my room and getting things gathered in the garbage bag. When it was full I decided to bring it to the garage to dump in the big bags that will go out for tomorrows garbage day. Just as I stepped down, I noticed a mouse hanging from the outside of the big bag. Except this mouse was completely tangled in netting. I believe this netting comes from either oranges, or cheese-ya know, that stuff they use to wrap around it but it is made of thinly wound vinyl or plastic? (more…)
So life has been pretty darn busy with my usual days of teaching. I have to admit that I am rather enjoying the 5 days a week of teaching with the music school. I could easily do it for more hours and for however many more months too. I haven’t heard back from the University in regards to my placement for September-which school, which teacher. I am going to give them until May and then call up. Usually by now, all the students know which placements they get so I am expecting to get something in the mail. According to the Dean, there is no, “Should we take her back again?” asking, I was to submit my letter and be automatically placed on the roster of students. (more…)
Another Idol has gone, and I think this time and miraculously, America got it right. Ace (what IS his real name anyways?) proved that the slicked back Sumo style hair and the lax singing these past 3-4 weeks were not enough to keep him in the running. I have to say that I wasn’t shocked to see him go, but MORE shocked that Chris and Paris were in the bottom 3. Come on! I really doubt Chris did worse than anyone, and Paris was the Princess of the Standards. Once again, FOX messing with the public and trying to get set for the ratings series coming up. (more…)

I must admit that I was worried about a Standard’s night, especially with Rod Stewart helping the contestants out. He has never had an awesome voice in my opinion, but he always sings great songs. Tonight was one of my favorite themed nights so far!! (more…)
