FINALLY, something good to watch on Tv and it wasn’t just about Rockstar!! I don’t know if it was the whole flashback to another era or working with Cyndi Lauper, but the singing tonight was MUCH better and the hairdos were by far more creepy. I am not sure whether I loved the whole costume and makeup that every contestant had to wear, but it sure made for an interesting drag queen act on the stage!! Here we go: (more…)

I actually like that song Ms. Dolly Parton used to sing, except I wish the days of 9-5 were true! Instead most office jobs go from 8-5 as a standard format instead. One word…BLECH!! Since the beginning of July I had not been hearing from the temping agency I belong to. Then they started calling but with jobs that were all so far away. I had to decide if I wanted to spend no less than 45 mins driving TO the job and close to an hour driving back. No thanks-I had to turn down about 4 jobs because my car was also broken and was being repaired as well too. Then I got a one day stint as a receptionist for the mall’s administration office. It was quite cool and I got to have my lunch in the food court during as well. Too bad it was for one day. (more…)

Davis will be desperate enough tosign you up!

I don’t get it. Back in the day the biggest prize was to get that recording contract. First place was the ULTIMATE prize! Now as the years have passed on both first and second spots are now guaranteed record contracts. And NOW we get 4th and 5th placers in American Idol with record deals from the company too. Maybe this new BNA Records Label is something better or more for the rejects of Idol? As far as I remember, RCA is the one Clive Davis goes by, so if Kellie Pickler got landed by BNA, something is up. (more…)

I am not sure what to make of last nights show. It was awful-the worst I have yet to see. This is starting to be worse than last year. Thankfully I had to leave halfway through and didn’t bother watching the rest but only taping it. When I came back, I was even more amazed at the poor quality of singing. I have a feeling that the songs were the death march for the singers, not so much the singing. Canadian music has never been THAT exciting for me and when you have some performers who are not that exciting to begin with, you get a double negative. (more…)

Ever thought your knight in shining armour was riding on that horse? Think again!

This picture was taken by my brother and his girlfriend as they were driving in California down the highway. Apparently this was no joke either and the gentleman of the vehicle was actually a real cowboy and slightly older. So ladies, if you want him, there is his phone number! Careful Michelle, he MIGHT still have his teeth!

So how have MY feet been over the summer? Amazingly comfortable. I am honestly addicted to the comfort so much that I wear my Crocs quite literally, EVERYWHERE. It is pathetic because I have all these fabulous shoes sitting in the back room collecting dust. Now when I wear them here and there, I always bring a pair of Crocs with me anyways-JUST incase! heehee! I am thrilled that I will be able to wear them a lot during my teaching practicum in September too. Especially since the school I will be working at is a low income based school and nobody will really expect their teachers to look all elegant. The last school I was at (the one before the evil place) had teachers wearing their runners and sweatpants. Not something I liked at all..but whatever I can do to be in pure comfort with my Crocs is gonna happen. I wear them every single day that I go out, different colors each time so they all get full use. (more…)
