Ok….I know…this is REALLY REALLY bad, but not so bad because I got a different style..yes, I got ANOTHER pair of Crocs-not something I wanted to do but fate had it happen to me!!! I went to do a few hours of temping at a new worksite-as the lady at the desk was helping me, I noticed she had on a different pair of Croc flipflops..not those ugly rubber kinds but a softer version. I didn’t ask her where she got them from but assumed they had hit town. They were quite cute and lighter colored. I forgot all about them until I had to swing by Chinook center after my seminar with Yamaha today. I strolled down to the food court and just happened upon a sport store where I saw Crocs hanging in the window. I saw the new style and decided to try them on…they also had more of the rubber kinds but slightly different than the originals.
I saw only two colors at R&R and tried on the one color, the sea foam…the size was a bit small so I tried on the chocolate/cotton candy coloring and loved them. I was so impressed by how soft they felt on the feet and how cushy they were on the bottom. I am not a fan of flip flops, especially the original Crocs flops-just cause they are stiff and the thingie in between the toes hurts…but these Crocs, the Capri style are very different-the top part is made of canvas with the underlining made of leather..ahhh so THAT is why there were a bit pricey!!! I took them without wanting to really admit to myself that I have now…eight pairs.
But this pair is really only my FIRST pair of Capri Crocs…and that is ALL I will be getting. At least with the original Crocs, you can wear them with sneaky socks and get through the winter or wear them indoors…with these Capri’s, they are more summer shoes. Now, if you think I am nuts, don’t….I have to say that my Crocs have ALL been worn ever since the snow stopped. I now carry the black ones in my car permanently for emergencies (and believe me, after the rain floods and having to walk 12 blocks uphill to a hotel, I will always believe in the magic of Crocs). I carry the beige ones at my studio where they are hanging in storage for sore footsie days.
The other 5 pairs are at home where I put on a different pair each time I go out, wherever I go out…now this pair of Capri’s are a bit easier to wear because they actually go with more items of clothing-I mean, the original Crocs are a bit ass-ugly so you can’t wear them with a summer dress and look nice…these bad boys are very very good with the dresses and I already wore them!!
So here is the newest addition to my collection-I already have them set to wear again tomorrow to work so THAT is my excuse to have this newest pair! haha
After all….they are called CHOCOLATE/COTTON CANDY for a reason-I may not eat the stuff but I can sure enjoy them on my feet! lol
Ps, the color on here is a bit darker than in person-think of a lighter milk chocolate color with a soft baby pink and SOOOOO comfy!!!

Must have!!! I LOVE flip flops but have been searching for a pair that provides a little more support. The last ones I got at Zellers ended up hurting my feet more than helping. However, they were only $12 so no biggie. Which store did you get them at in the end, Lisa? Sport Check or RnR?

Comment by Michelle 07.06.07 @ 2:26 pmFINALLY someone who DOESN’T think I am crazy! haha I got my Crocs at Chinook in R&R..they didn’t have very many of the flip flop style I got but they had the rubbery kind that are a bit different than the original rubbery ones…still, the look of the Capris are so much better. Try them out but be prepared to pay…I don’t even want to say HOW much because it is a rip off! lol I don’t think they had smaller sizes at R&R so it may be good to call ahead before you go.
Comment by Lisa 07.06.07 @ 2:40 pmI would think there is one in Sunridge…if not,Deerfoot Mall has Sport Check in it as well. I just remembered, you may have to go up a size bigger than normal-I am usually a 7.5-8 ish and I went up to a size 9…the sizes between the 8 and 9 were VERY close but I got a bit more comfort going a bit higher up.
Comment by Lisa 07.06.07 @ 4:49 pmHey what do you think of the ballet flat Crocs? I saw them on some morning news program a few weeks ago, and they don’t look as ugly as the original ones.
Comment by Liza 07.31.07 @ 8:46 pm[...] Shush, do NOT lecture me. I think I’ll have Lisa beat in the Crocs department, now? That makes… um… 9 pairs. 4 of the ugly normal style and ALL THESE NEW CUTE ONES!! [...]
