And a week later, I finally returned home from my long seminar in Toronto!!! I haven’t had much time to recover as today I had to be at my place for a piano tuning early in the morning-ONLY to wait and wait…and wait and not have the tuner show up!!!! At least I unpacked and sort of settled in before I head in to my first week of seeing all my students again after Labor day!! Anyways, the trip to Toronto turned out quite differently than I expected!! (more…)

So it is another night of sleep and then one more…and then on Tuesday I am off to Toronto-my flight is at 10:10 am which isn’t too bad but with the time change, I will arrive in Toronto at 4:00 their time (2:00 ours)-so it will feel like the whole day is done. I have been looking in to my hotel and it seems like a gooder, mostly….tonight I did the major packing thing and have been sure to bring comfy clothes so a lot of my Lulu Lemon and La Senza clothes are coming with me-track pants, track jackets, t-shirts and capris…since the seminar will involve a lot of movement and activity, I have to be comfy. 2 pairs of Crocs and my original flips will come along with another pair of fancy looking flops/heels. A few hats, some jewelry, the standard undies and bras along with socks and voila….you pretty much have it there. (more…)

Thankfully the girl who runs the place (of which will be “my boss”) helped out with the opening morning and then we split classes. The first day was a bit chaotic with kids from ages 3-13 being in the same room. Luckily the older girls were Asian which means they are natural born care takers since the Asian community is very close knit and knows how to take care of eachother…so the older gals were helping to take care of the rowdy little ones who were not listening to me. Wow, August 1st ALREADY!! Holy smokes did July ever whiz by so fast. I always know that when July is over, Christmas is practically around the corner-oh wait, perhaps Halloween as I have already seen Halloween things at the stores and tons of BACK TO SCHOOL things as well. I hate how they throw everything summer out and put up fall clothes with heavy sweaters and ugly fall colors. I like to think that summer is still here until the end of August, thankyouverymuch!!!
