Ok….I know…this is REALLY REALLY bad, but not so bad because I got a different style..yes, I got ANOTHER pair of Crocs-not something I wanted to do but fate had it happen to me!!! I went to do a few hours of temping at a new worksite-as the lady at the desk was helping me, I noticed she had on a different pair of Croc flipflops..not those ugly rubber kinds but a softer version. I didn’t ask her where she got them from but assumed they had hit town. They were quite cute and lighter colored. I forgot all about them until I had to swing by Chinook center after my seminar with Yamaha today. I strolled down to the food court and just happened upon a sport store where I saw Crocs hanging in the window. I saw the new style and decided to try them on…they also had more of the rubber kinds but slightly different than the originals. (more…)

So much Croc-Talk has made me forget to post these pictures of other shoes in my collection. Even though the Croc craze has taken over my life, right down to an artform in how I hang my Crocs on a wire hanger, I must say that I still have to wear my other shoes in the collection or they will just sit there and turn in to dust. Plus, there are only so many times when I can get away with wearing Crocs at my work until my boss catches me in the hot pink ones and looks at me in horror! haha (more…)

Ok, I know I am a fanatic about this but I had to go Croc hunting today…yes, for more Croc shoes. With the past 3 days of 22.5 hours of being on my feet and wearing my red Crocs, they were a total Godsend to me. Even the other night I put on my strappy gold sandals and my feet were swollen to the point that I couldn’t do them up for teaching. Alas, I wore my Crocs to work even though they didn’t match anything I was wearing and I felt SO much better. I was determined to get another pair today because I want something for school when it starts up again. (more…)

And so comes the conclusion to my search for the craziest looking footwear since those Birkenstocks hit the market years ago. As you all know, I stumbled across those wild looking shoes through a flyer in the magazine called Holey Soles (read the blog entry just before this). I have since been able to compare them to the CROCS
that I found at the other store. (more…)

I dunno if this is a fashionista find cause these shoes are butt ugly and obnoxious, but I am fascinated by them. I saw one girl wearing the purple pair months ago and thought, “Geeze those are UGLY”, but ugly to the point that I was intrigued. Then I saw one of my students wear them and they ARE ugly and hers were bright yellow…but I am still fascinated by them. I got a flyer in the mail about a store in Chinook center selling them. I was at another store and saw them and tried them on. They ARE ugly-however, it was the coolest feel when I put them on! Mind you, they range to about $30.00 in price and the ones I tried on were only $17.00 so they may have been knockoffs.
I am STILL fascinated by them…and when I found this website, it definitely made me more curious. I tend to like the ones with the holes in them cause they look cooler-but they are a culture shock. I am also interested to hear that they are perfect for 12 hour days and that they massage the insides of your feet. If I have to be on my tootsies all day, you can bet I am more concerned about my back and not throwing it out of whack.
I wonder if curiosity will kill THIS cat and if I will just head over to the mall to check them out. I like the hot pink holey shoes best…maybe the red for follow up~! If I am gonna wear something shocking and ugly, at least the color should look good!

I just LOVE Spring-Spring brings many things, green grass, bright flowers, warmer weather, AND the most important thing..a reason to start wearing sandals and looking at new styles of clothing! Winners is having a lot out there, but what I have been mostly seeing in the stores and reading about are the Wedge heels. Platforms are usually quite popular as well during this time of year and I am a big fan of them. In recent months I have gone on some jaunts to find cute sandals that I can wear. It happens every year and I thoroughly enjoy them because I am more of a boot wearer in the winter. It saves me from having to wear pantyhose which I do hate. (more…)
