I Run for Life
posted by LisaDarlene at 3:51 pm

As I was driving to work on a sunny afternoon a few days ago, I had the radio on and a song that was SO powerful came on the airwaves. I listened to the lyrics and they really spoke to me. I don’t know if I related to this song because the message was so strong, or it the fact that it deals with cancer and someone who survived it was singing it…or even because I just met someone with cancer and my dog has been battling his own. But this song was so meaningful to me and so poignant. (more…)

Let there be Music!!
posted by LisaDarlene at 8:51 pm

In light of the recent mess that has gone around this past week, I thought I would start my Monday with a dose of positivity-for me that is in the form of meaningful lyrics that help to “raise me up” from all of the negativity and just continue to find things in life to be happy about! Live. Love. Enjoy. Be Inspired :)

When I am down and oh my soul so weary
When troubles come, and my heart burdened be.
Then I am still and wait here in the silence
until you come and sit a while with me.

You raise me up so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas.
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be.

(Josh Groban-YOU RAISE ME UP-from the phenomenal cd CLOSER)

If one day you discover him
Broken down he’s lost everything
No cars, no fancy clothes to make him who he’s not
The woman at his side is all that he has got
Why do you ask him move heaven and earth
To prove his love has worth?

Would he walk on water
Would he run through fire
Would he stand before you
When it’s down to the wire
Would he give his life up
To be all he can
Is that, is that, is that how you measure a man?

If by chance all he had to give you
Was three words wrapped around your finger
Would that be deep enough at the end of every day
And how will you ever know
If a man is what he says?

Why do you ask him to move heaven and earth
To prove his love has worth
Would he walk on water
Would he run through fire
Would he stand before you
When it’s down to the wire
Would he give his life up to be all he can
Is that, is that, is that how you measure a man?

He never gives up
Lets go of his dream
His world goes around for his one true belief
Is that how you know
Is that what it means?

Would he walk on water
Would he run through fire
Would he stand before you
Would he will be your anchor when the dark unfolds
Would he always love you the best that he knows?

Would he give his life up
To be all that he can
Is that, is that, is that how you measure a man?

(Clay Aiken-THE MEASURE OF A MAN-supremely fantastic cd of the same name AND this is the best song on there!)

Remember When it Rained
posted by LisaDarlene at 1:15 am

Josh Groban’s newest single…amazing! I love that he cowrote this song and the wrote the entire set of lyrics!! YAY!

Wash away the thoughts inside
that keep my mind away from you.
No more love and no more pride
and thoughts are all I have to do.

Oooh remember when it rained
I felt the ground and looked up high and called your name
Oooh remember when it rained
In the darkness I remain

Running down

Tears of hope run down my skin
tears for you that will not dry
They magnify the one within
and let the outside slowly die

Ooh remember when it rained
In the water I remain

Running down

LISTEN TO THIS SONG! INCREDIBLE!!! :)

Song Lyrics
posted by LisaDarlene at 6:05 pm

Just thought I would post these pretty song lyrics Russ sent to me…I wish I can hear the actual songs now too….

She don’t know how much I need her
She don’t know I’d fall apart
Without her kiss
Without her touch
Without her faithful lovin’ arms
She don’t know that its all about her
She don’t know I cant live without her
She’s my world she’s my everything
And the funny thing is
She thinks she’s the lucky one

Artist/Band: Shelton Blake
Lyrics for Song: Austin
Lyrics for Album: Blake Shelton

She left without leavin’ a number
Said she needed to clear her mind
He figured she’d gone back to Austin
‘Cause she talked about it all the time
It was almost a year before she called him up
Three rings and an answering machine is what she got

If you’re callin’ ’bout the car I sold it
If this is Tuesday night I’m bowling
If you’ve got somethin’ to sell, you’re wastin’ your time, I’m not
buyin’
If it’s anybody else, wait for the tone,
You know what to do
And P.S. if this is Austin, I still love you

The telephone fell to the counter
She heard but she couldn’t believe
What kind of man would hang on that long
What kind of love that must be
She waited three days, and then she tried again
She didn’t know what she’d say,
But she heard three rings and then

If it’s Friday night I’m at the ballgame
And first thing Saturday, if it don’t rain
I’m headed out to the lake
And I’ll be gone, all weekend long
But I’ll call you back when I get home
On Sunday afternoon
And P.S. If this is Austin, I still love you

Well, this time she left her number
But not another word
Then she waited by the phone on Sunday evenin’
And this is what he heard

If you’re callin’ ’bout my heart
It’s still yours
I should’ve listened to it a little more
Then it wouldn’t have taken me so long to know where I belong
And by the way, boy, this is no machine you’re talkin’ to
Can’t you tell, this is Austin, and I still love you

I still love you
