Well as I type this here, someone is pounding out a wall right behind my head with the loudest hammer known to man. I can barely hear myself speak when the phone decides to ring, and I can’t hear anyone else either.

So HOW is the job going you may ask? I am sick of it. I love temping and know that I was totally spoiled with a great last position, but this place sucks..badly. It doesn’t help that they are currently renovating around here so it is all dusty and messy, but the constant pounding and blowing up of who knows what is making me crazy. Not to mention the fact that the phone rings here about 4 times an hour…and that, ladies and gentelmen, is all I am “allowed” to do here. (more…)

Yesterday I went for a training session at my Chiropractor’s office with his main receptionist. I arrived in 30 minutes which was surprising because it always takes me longer. Maybe it IS better to have appointments at 10:00 am. I am training to take over for the receptionist when she has to go away-she is mentioning Christmas time, and next year for a few months before the summer. Uhhh-I dunno about THAT and warned her that I would be in school and teaching. Plus the office is far from my house and it would be insane for me to even think about winter driving up in that direction. (more…)

Another nail in the coffin of this ever expensive year end recital. I decided today to get my programs officially done at Staples. I went in to work early only to find out my first student cancelled, therefore leaving me with a 1.5 hour break! How insane is that?? I decided to make my opportunity to run to Staples closeby and get color copies of my music program I came up with. As I was driving I missed the turn to get in to Staples and saw a Kinkos on my side further down. Sure, why not try that. (more…)

Blame it on the full moon-people are starting to lose their minds out there. Thankfully my students haven’t been on that breaking edge! Today started out as a great day. The clouds were rolling in but as I drove to work (after making a quick round to the mall for, yes, my new foundation! finally), the sun was shining brightly and then it felt like summer! Ahhhhh. My first student arrived 15 minutes late and was barely talking. Poor girl had a sore throat and she is just the cutest little kid. It was odd for her to be late but her nanny almost forgot to bring the kids down. That was ok-gave me time to finish my lunch! (more…)

I would like to make the record straight that whenever I post something in ANYONE’S blog, it is usually a comment of support, encouragement or advice. If someone needs help and asks for it publically, I am there in a heartbeat. I like to give ideas, options, direction but I never feel like I am forcing it on someone. As Sylvia Browne likes to say, take what you will and do what you want with it. I am not the kind of person who pushes people to do what they don’t want. And saying something twice doesn’t make a difference.However, if those people find something they don’t like about my post, I would expect an email to talk about it-not a public “Shut the hell up” post for everyone else to read. Today I went to Sears (aka Snears because some of the ladies only ever snear at you over there) to look in to buying some good foundation. Actually, my main concern was to find a color and style close to my skintone and then ask for a sample to try. I don’t want to be spending big bucks to get a foundation that I have to return!! Plus, I am being rather picky with my color so that I don’t end up having a color on my face that looks like a shade of chocolate or orange! (more…)

Why does my amusement always seem to happen on a Friday night? Oh yeah, Robinette the Hood comes for her lesson-aka, the Queen of Thieving. It was rather funny tonight to watch her try YET AGAIN to thieve her way in to my prize box. Oh yes, pull your chair closer and marvel at the Clepticism of the mysterious Theif-ette. (more…)

With all the stress of Christmas just coming to an end, and of course, my lovely monthly visitor coming within the next week, I think it is HIGH time for a bit of venting-perhaps some revelation and always topped off with inspiration.

Whenever I have had the time, I have been watching my new Oprah 20th Anniversary Collection set of DVD’s. I don’t think I have been able to watch all 6 DVD’s yet, but I know I have managed to make it through about 3 or 4 of them from start to stop. They are SO good that when you put one on, you HAVE to sit and watch the whole DVD-all 3 hours!! (more…)
